Janine is a Brooklyn based author. Her first book Nightlight: A Memoir was released in September 2007. Her publications in magazines include articles in On the Issues: A Progressive Feminist Journal, Topic Magazine and the Los Angeles Times Magazine. Janine has received press in The Washington Post Book World, OK! Magazine, Publishers Weekly, Go NYC Magazine,Cornell University Alumni Magazine, Curve Magazine, One on One with Steve Adubato on the Comcast Network, WABC's Long Island Viewpoint, The Soho Journal, Here TV, Afterellen.com, Chroma, The Gay and Lesbian Times, NY Press, and Edge New York. Janine currently teaches English and Philosophy at Columbia Secondary School in Manhattan.
